Urban Candy Events says "Cocktails Anyone?"

I came across this blog from 2009, JToy, here and not only did I agree, but I loved the way he formulated his blog. I, myself, am a shorter blogger but when it is of substance, I take the time to read. Check out his site and our packages. You know you wanna party, let us plan it! Cocktail Time!!!

What makes the best cocktail party? Something people talk about for years (or at least until the next cocktail party??) Well I thought you'd want to know so I compiled an easy list of the 5 things you NEED to do in order to have a good time.

1. Invitations (yep, I really believe in them). Doesn't have to be fancy or even paper. Set up an Evite and advise that RSVP is required because you need to know how much food and drink to purchase so they have a great time! Most people will respect that ;-)

2. Clean, inviting, space. Clean your bathroom, living room, whereever people will be. Make sure to block off areas you don't want people. Simply put, if there are only 5 people spread out it will look terrible but 5 people sequestered in the kitchen looks pretty good.

3. Put on upbeat music loud enough to hear but still enjoy conversations. Keep it going all night. Make sure there is no break or people may get the indication that the party is winding down.

4. FOOD FOOD FOOD is a must...that's why I chose the picture that I posted with this. Have finger foods already ready and put them in the oven to warm in batches. Count on everyone eating 2-3 of each type of hors d houvers. (I will do another post on food).

5. ALCOHOL ...yep, it's a cocktail party and people should be served a drink when they walk through the door. Have someone serve as bartender and count on every one having 2-3 drinks.

Monster High Urban Candy Events Commission

If you don't know what Monster High is I'm not the one to clue you in. I'm not even sure if this is a TV show or not but I LOVE these dolls. Why? Because they are basic Monster High dolls that have been recreated in such awesome ways. Look at the eyes especially, the painter (re-painter) creates such emotion. I keep pausing the video to peer the details. What does this have to do with event planning, marketing, or parties in the city of Chicago? EVERYTHING! I'm always looking for ways to brand Urban Candy Events and get us out to the public. At first I was going to commission a doll then I thought, why not learn how to create a OOAK Monster High Doll and customize it for one special reader? So I did some research. First of all, there are so many for sale on Ebay right now...check this one that just sold... Monster High OOAK Custom Repaint Lagoona Blue in Wonderland for $150 I'm not going to sell the one that I make though. If I make the time to do this I'll do I contest to give it away or something neat like that. Oh yeah, and click this link to see all the cool videos this guy has posted. This is where I got the video
Hey Guys, I stumbled upon the most amazing blog today that I had to share. I was looking for blogs in Chicago and hit on Rad and Refined which is a crazy site that sells clothes BUT they actually show the trends attached to them. Like the crazy shorts in this reference. I love the way the site is set up it has a rocker sheik and makes me feel tuned in and turned up. It's good to see businesses doing well and I wish them the best of luck. - I'm going to pin it too
